Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” LINE) has entered into a joint research and development agreement with NIPPON HAKUYO electronics, ltd. ※1) and OPT Gate Co., LTD. (※2) for the development of a new fire detection system for vessels, using optical technology.

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” LINE), Kawasaki Kinkai Kisen, Ltd. (“K” LINE KINKAI), and Kawasaki Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (KHI) have agreed to carry out the research and development of the “Safe Berthing/Unberthing Assist System” to enhance safety and efficiency of vessel maneuvering, berthing/unberthing, and mooring operations in ports.

We are pleased to announce that we have successfully commenced technical management of Singapore’s first LNG bunkering vessel “FUELNG BELLINA” owned by FueLNG Pte Ltd, a joint venture between Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M) and Shell Eastern Petroleum (Pte) Ltd.

“Kawasaki Integrated Maritime Solutions”, jointly developed by ”K” LINE and Kawasaki Heavy Industries Group, obtained the first certification of “Innovation Endorsement” (*1) for Products & Solutions which ClassNK newly launched certification program for innovative technology.
